Brenda reached out to us a few weeks ago, telling us how much she enjoyed our gum and mints and sharing her exciting pregnancy news with us! After chatting with her, we sent her a list of questions which she kindly answered for us; we asked her questions about her pregnancy, her biggest life lessons and more! Check out our interview with Brenda below!

Brenda’s answers are in quotations.

What’s your greatest passion?

“My greatest passion is helping people achieve a healthy body, mind, and soul. I truly believe that once my baby is born, my other greatest passion will be being a mom.”

What is your most recent achievement?

“I’ve always wanted to be a mom so becoming pregnant is probably one of my greatest achievements. Also, getting a job at AskMen – a men’s lifestyle site – is something I’m insanely proud of.”

What is something that you are most proud of?

“Overcoming my bulimia. The fact that I was able to kick this eating disorder on my own is definitely something to be proud of.”

What is your favorite fitness activity?

“I love everything fitness. I love lifting, swimming, biking, skating – literally anything that requires me to sweat.”

What is your favorite part of pregnancy?

“My boobs. Just kidding! My favorite part of pregnancy is knowing that I’m growing a little human inside of me. It’s just this amazing feeling that I can’t put into words.”

What is your favorite recipe/food to make?

“Anything sweet – cakes, pancakes, waffles, you name it!”

Do you have a role model? If so, who is it and why do you admire them?

“My role models are definitely my parents. They’re the most selfless and hardworking people I’ve ever met in my entire life. If I can be half as good as them then I’ll be very happy.”

What is one of the biggest lessons that you have learned?

“I’ve learned so many lessons throughout my life, but if I had to pick just one it would probably be this: self-care isn’t selfish. You know how on airplanes they tell you to put your own oxygen mask first? Well, it’s because you need to make sure you’re okay first before you can help someone else.”

What is your next goal?

“To be the best mom I can be to my baby.”
