About Our Product

Aspartame is the man-made synthetic sweetener found in most sugar-free chewing gum, candies, and beverages. The FDA lists 92 symptoms reported from the use of aspartame, including headaches, dizziness, and nausea.

Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that looks and tastes just like sugar, yet has 40% fewer calories.

The xylitol in PUR is plant-based and commercially produced. It's a sugar alcohol that's as sweet as sugar, and it's what sweetens every piece of PUR gum.

6 grams of xylitol per day reduces decay-causing bacteria, helps to decrease plaque build-up, and stimulates saliva to wash away bacteria.

PUR is sweetened with 100% xylitol, which is one of the lowest sweeteners on the glycemic index. Everyone can safely chew PUR without spiking blood sugar levels.

Yes! Both PUR Gum and PUR Mints are manufactured and produced in a 100% nut & peanut free facility in Switzerland.

The exact blend is proprietary, but our natural flavors are derived from plant-based ingredients and extracted using safe, food-grade methods. We do not use any artificial flavors or colors in our products.

Gluten can hide in many unsuspecting products; it can linger in artificial flavors and colors, or come from facilities that manufacture other products with gluten. PUR gum and mints are manufactured in a gluten-free facility.

Our gum and mints are NOT pet friendly, especially for dogs. Like chocolate, xylitol is an ingredient that is safe for humans, but not for our pets. Even if small amounts are ingested, for dogs it can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or other serious health issues. If you believe your pet has consumed our products, please contact your veterinarian immediately.

PUR gum is kosher, certified by Orthodox Union. PUR mints are not kosher certified.

Our gum base is a non-nutritive, inert, and insoluble substance that gives the gum its structure, texture, and chew. The exact formulation is proprietary, but it's made with high-quality synthetic ingredients from Europe, contains no natural chicle, and is designed to remain inert, meaning it won't release or absorb anything harmful, even if swallowed. At PUR, we are deeply committed to providing products that are safe, high-quality, and made with integrity. We carefully select every ingredient we use, and our gum is crafted to be a cleaner, healthier alternative.

No. Our gum base is inert and insoluble, made with high-quality ingredients that comply with strict regulatory standards. As a member of the International Chewing Gum Association (ICGA), PUR takes product safety and scientific integrity seriously and stands behind the safety of our gum.

Each piece of our core line gum contains about 1 gram of xylitol, and each Jumbo piece contains about 3 grams. Each mint contains about 0.5 grams.

Yes! The tocopherols in PUR products come from natural vegetable tocopherol-rich extracts.

Everyone's oral health needs are different, so we always recommend checking with your dentist or healthcare provider for guidance specific to your situation. That said, PUR is sugar-free, sweetened with 100% xylitol, and formulated to support oral health as part of a balanced routine.

Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol just like xylitol, and oral bacteria can't ferment it the way they do regular sugar, meaning no acid production and no enamel erosion. It's widely used in dental-friendly products for that reason. Xylitol remains our primary sweetener.
